Today, the Comfy Cup team had the opportunity to experience one of Kansas City’s truly remarkable companies, Pro Athlete Inc.
From the moment you walk through the door, Pro Athlete Inc. goes the extra mile to make their guests and employees feel valued. Imagine what they must do for their customers.
They literally put their pillar of values at the forefront of their business. But, they don’t just post their values, they practice them everyday.
Andrew Dowis, COO and Brett Olson, Fulfillment Center Manager gave us a “home run” tour of their amazing facility. From start to finish, their core values and company culture is woven into everything from the picking, packing, fulfillment, marketing and customer service.
As much as they value the company, they also value their employees. Where else can you get paid to work out, get a massage, go for a swim, and even get a haircut? Not to mention eat up to three meals a day cooked fresh in-house by their own personal chef. And, all of these services are completely free to their employees!
The behind the scenes order processing including picking, packing and warehouse storage was beyond our expectations. This is truly a feat in effectiveness and efficiency that the Comfy Cup aspires to mimic.

All 12 company values shine brightly within the culture and structure of Pro Athlete Inc. But the most impressive and evident was their generous giving. Pro Athlete Inc. gives each employee $1500 to donate to the charity of their choice and expects them to be actively involved in community service. They also host local charity events such as Police Appreciation Day and Toys for Tots Shopping Spree.
We are very grateful for the generosity they showed to us during our tour including the time that Andrew and Brett gave us on a Friday afternoon to share their company culture with Comfy Cup. We will be proud to wear our new Pro Athlete Inc merchandise in support of our new friends!
